Subject: Getting Spanked for Not Mowing the Grass Right Away


Summertime makes me think about no school, but still having to mow the grass.

A couple years ago, my mom and dad were going to have an outdoor lawn party and I was given the chore to mow the grass.

My folks would be gone shopping most of the day and while they were gone I was suppose to cut the grass; and nothing else was I suppose to be doing or my dad told me if I didn't he "would give it to me good!" I asked what he meant by that, but wouldn't give me a straight answer that I "wouldn't want to find out!"

It was a hot, sweltering day and temps. were in the high 90s and humidity was unbarable, but I still had to cut the grass.

While I was mowing a couple of buddies of mine stopped by and said they were going to the beach to swim and cool off and asked if I would like to go with them. I thought, as hot as it was, I would have time to go with them to swim and have time to get back before my parents returned home.

A few hours later, upon returning home, I was "greeted" by my folks, and the questions of where I had been and why the yard wasn't mowed?

I had my wet swimsuit in my hand, so I couldn't lie, so I told my dad I had been with my buddies to the beach.

I soon heard the order to get inside the house to my room to wait for him.

It was there I soon received the answer to what I had asked my dad would happen to me earlier, if I didn't mow the lawn right away and he said "I wouldn't want to find out!"

I found myself getting a bare butt paddling.

And while giving me the punishment my dad was saying to me, "didn't I tell you to mow the lawn, before you did anything else?"

He did, but I'm afraid I didn't listen to him.

I learned a very valuable lesson that day!

So valuable that many people nowadays would be surprised during the summertime when there is no school, I have a lawn mowing business and how fast I get to and finish a job right away, and by a set time if I'm given one.

My dad is proud of me!
