As I just said in my reply to Joel, I am currently sporting a High 'n Tight. If we had the capeability to post pictures here, I would post a picture of myself so you could see what I look like. To give you an idea, Marines sport High 'n Tights. I am sure you have seen recruiting posters when you were still in school but you can also google "High 'n Tight haircut" if you still need an idea of what it looks like.
You asked if I advised Joel to confront your dad not knowing what to expect? Far from it! I told Joel that his "getting it" from your dad was a possibility but that it was a risk he had to take. Rick backed me up and he went so far as to say that Joel wouldn't get spanked by your dad. (On a side note, I am a little concerned about Rick as he hasn't posted anything since all this happened! I hope it is because he is busy with his wedding plans and not because he has buried his head in the sand in disgust over what has transpired.) The truth is that you and your dad both should've let this go a long time ago instead of carrying on about it the way you have been all these years!
As for Steve's involvement; no, he didn't get involved until after the fact as I was trying to do damage control after what happened.
