In answer to your question, no, I do not currently own a boat, although if I were to hit the Powerball, I would probably buy a house or a condo at the lake and also a boat and either a pair of jet skis or a pair of wave runners to go along with it. (Not holding my breath.)

Now, about me almost throwing my dad out of the boat for misdriving. For one thing, my dad wasn't directly supervising me at the time, my older brother was as he was sitting next to me at the controls. I didn't even realize that I did it; my brother later told me! He didn't get a spanking either although he must have gotten quite an ass-chewing since he "should have been watching me." I really think this was one situation where my dad blamed himself more so than either of us because in future outings he did provide me with more guidance and supervision and I pretty well mastered it by age 10 and I could, by that time, operate the boat myself With my dad only giving me hand signals if he wanted me to go a certain way. Today, if I am helping a novice learn to operate a boat, I closely supervise them and I don't care whether the person I am working with is 6, 16 or 60, I am going to be right with them giving them close supervision until I am fully satisfied that they can operate a boat safely and I hope you will do the same if you plan to teach Cody, Luke, and Evan to drive a boat this summer.
