Hey Big Brothers,

As you can see we came up short by 6 points to try to win the semifinal game that would have put us into the title championship game.

It breaks my heart to have this happen, especially after everyone worked so hard at the end of the season to turn things around and try to make it a winning season in the end in the play-offs.

At least we have a District Title, Regional Title and Quarterfinal Title for our high school to be proud of.

I sure appreciate your cheering and support for me, Kyle, Sean, Cody and Luke and the others on the team to believe in us. When I was playing I was always thinking of you guys, and when doing some of my 3-point shooting I had your names on the ball when it went through the hoop.

Now Big Brothers, I hope you'll support me as I wait out to find out how my little butt is going to come out to see IF I haveto pay for a shattered basketball backboard that happened in that one game. People are still talkling about that event. Man, I don't have that kind of money to pay for a new backboard for the school, or to get money I could take some out of my saved college money I have so far.

I don't even know how much a new backboard would cost IF the insuarance at that school doesn't cover to pay for a new one.

I didn't so it on purpose, I wasn't "hotdogging", it was a routine slam dunk, a dunk that all of us players learned, do in games and even though it excites the crowd it does give us players a "rush" to do one.

Man, if I have to pay for the backboard, I know my little butt will probably have to pay for it. How many paddles licks to a little butt pays for a backboard?

Like Kyle keeps telling me, "Joel, your not going to have any little ass left when your dad gets through with you to punish you for shattering that backboard!"

Big Brothers, I haven't talked to much to my dad about what happened, but I did say to him I was "sorry that it did happen, too bad that it had to, and it was just a routine slam dunk that all of us guys do."

So far my dad has been COOL about this incident, and has said "that could happen to anyone, the best of players."

Yeah, will he be saying that if we get a bill to pay for that backboard, and will he be saying that when he turns me over to paddle by little bare butt?

Any comments?

Hey Dave, did you do any insurance checking on this at your office to see if maybe school insurance covers something like this, in full or half the cost? If your dad ask, maybe you could say your checking on this for a distant client?

Geez!

I might as well start peracticing the butt rub, I guess!
