Well the good news is that she is not in the hospital anymore. The bad news is that she isn't home either. She was transferred to a skilled nursing facility for physical therapy.

I don't know if you have been following my situation but my niece is supposed to be in town for Mother's Day. Last December, she gave birth to a baby boy that we have all been anxious to see. We are going to have her bring the baby to the place where my mom is so she can see him. It is kinda sad that my brother and my dad aren't with us anymore. My brother committed suicide in 2006 and my dad passed away in 2007.

A word about my brother and I want all you guys to listen good. As I have worked through the situation, I think when a person commits suicide they have done a very selfish thing to say the least and it is NOT the answer to ANY problem. If you have difficulties in life, I would encourage you to talk to your mom and dad. If one of your buddies tells you that he is contemplating suicide, TELL SOMEONE! Your principal, coach, or school counselor would be the best places to start. This just goes to show you that our actions affect other people and my brother's actions have affected my entire family. Going through the aftermath of a close friend's or family member's suicide is a club I hope you never have to join.

Anyway, good luck today in the baseball tournament and don't let the scout get to you. Just go out there and play your best.
