Great to hear from you too, Joel.

Glad to know you try to learn from your mistakes. That is a mark of great character. Keep it up, man.

As I recall from the account of the broken window, Kyle pitched the ball and you hit it and busted the window and then Kyle's dad hauled both of you into the garage when he proceeded to paddle Kyle good and forced you to witness. I am not surprised that he wanted to give it to you too. (I wonder if you thought he WAS going to give it to you too.) I suspect the only reason you didn't get it too was that Kyle's dad didn't have permission from your parents to do that.

I am glad your dad tells you that he is proud of you. He should be. Also, I would have loved to have been at the awards ceremony; not to see the proud look on your parents' faces but to shake your hand and tell you that I am proud of you too. I also think it is great that you, Kyle and Sean will still be playing ball together in College. Hopefully, Cody and Luke will be joining you after they graduate next year.

Regarding the pro scout, I am not surprised and I suspect that he wanted to see if you really are for real. Don't be surprised if the scouts continue to keep an eye on you while you're in college.

I think the Cardinals are off to a good start this weekend with the win yesterday. They're playing the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field and nothing pleases Cardinal fans more than a Cardinals sweep over the Chicago Cubs. (The Cubs have not won the World Series since 1908. Pathetic!) >
Thanks for asking about my mom. Yes she is home now after a bit of a scare. After she was released from the hospital, she was transferred to a skilled nursing facility for physical and occupational therapy. One of the nurses aids left her alone in the bathroom and she tried to get up on her own and fell! I was pissed! She can't be left alone in the bathroom. Well, after another trip to the ER for a cat scan and to be checked out thoroughly, my sister and I brought her home. She was due to come home two days later anyway. She is doing fine now and is glad to be home.
