Hey Code Man. How did your sleepover go with Luke? Your dad didn't have to paddle both of you because you were making too much noise or something did he? :D
>
One more year and you'll be joining Kyle, Joel and Sean in College, huh? Well remember that being seniors means you have to be the big brothers to the others just like Kyle, Joel and Sean were to you. They set a good example for you; next year, it'll be your turn.

Congrats to you and Luke on being honor guards. The Senior class must be really impressed with you two to have chosen you for this most important task.
>
What's this about your dad not using a belt? Perhaps I should e-mail him and suggest it. It'll give you an additional incentive to do the right thing if you ever get the notion to cut school again or jump out of the crowd on to the field at a MLB game like that one kid did at the Cards-Phillies game a few weeks back. (Hopefully, that kid's dad whupped his butt good after he got home.)

I am glad to hear that you will try to look ahead and consider the impact of your actions on others. Doing so will probably keep you from getting paddled and out of trouble. Actually, the real hurt is the grief you caused your parents, friends' parents, coach, or principal who has to heat your seat to teach you a lesson (and I am not opposed to your friends' parents paddling you so long as they have permission from your parents to do so. For instance, don't you think Kyle's dad would have been justified in paddling Joel when Joel and Kyle were at Kyle's house playing baseball and broke a window?)

No, God certainly has not given up on you and I know he hasn't given up on me either and I like to think I have come a long way since my parents found that pack of cigarettes in my room. (See my introduction if you haven't already read it.) Another suggestion I have for you is to attend church regularly if you don't. You'll learn a lot there that'll keep you out of trouble.
