Subject: Joel Avoids Fight/Luke Later Paddled

(Joel): After a 62-44 non-league loss on the road our basketball coach said win or lose we would stop to eat at McDonalds.
While there leading scorer of opposing team we played/loss to spotted Joel eating at table with Luke and started to downgrade Joel's off game of only scoring 4 points in the game and fouled out of game and had 5 fouls besides. Player told Joel, "some great star you are. Can't even score high points and lead your team!"
I told player, "I wasn't a star player and anyone can have an off night."
Other player to Joel: "Your team mates should kick your ass for letting them down in causing the loss."
Joel to Player: "I didn't cause a loss myself."

(Luke): I jumped in and told player that "Joel should kick your ass for saying just things and downgrading him for the star player he is and team leader."
Other player to Luke: "Some leader, only scoring 4 points."
Luke to player: "You want to make something of it? Joel will kick your ass!"
(Joel): to other player, "Why don't you leave, so we can eat in peace. You won the game, dude."
Other player to Joel: "Hey star, why don't you make me leave?"
(Luke): "Go ahead Joel, make him leave! Kick his ass!"
(Joel to Luke): "I'll kick your ass, if you don't stop being a little wise guy."
Other player to Joel: "Ha, you can't even stand up to me, so why bother with him. He's a loser!"
(Luke to player): "I'll kick your ass, if Joel won't! I'm not a loser! You are dude!"
(Joel to Luke): "Stay put Luke! He's not worth it!"
Other player to Joel: "Your the one who's not worth it Joel. Some star player you are. You helped cause your team's loss tonight!"
Luke jumps up from table, Joel pushes him back to sit him down. Other player spits at Joel and Luke, shouts "Your both losers!" and walks away.
(Joel to Luke): "You stupid little jerk! I oughta kick your ass when we get home! I'm disappointed in you, little brother, trying to provoke a fight with him, wanting me to fight him and you wanting to take him on!"
(Luke to Joel): "Some big brother you are! Letting him talk to you like that and not telling him off. You scared of him?"
(Joel to Luke): "I wasn't scared of him. Didn't want to get in trouble with coach. We represent our school in McDonalds and you want want me to fight him? I could get benched if I fought him, paddled maybe by coach or principal, and my dad could paddle me for fighting, Luke!"
(Luke to Joel): "You could have told him off, kicked his ass and nobody would have found out! You could have been a really big man for the team and make us look good after that ass kicking we took 62-44. Besides, I bet your afraid to get paddled by coach, principal and your dad!"
(Joel to Luke): "I'll show you later on who's afraid to get paddled when we get back to my house at the sleep over, that is if you still want to sleep over? You need an attitude adjustment, little brother!"
(Luke to Joel): "And I suppose you think your man enough to do something about it?"
Later at Joel's house, Luke got his bad attitude adjusted. Joel hauled Luke's over his knee, bared his butt and used Luke's "attitude adjustment" paddle on him and gave him a sound paddling. When finished, Joel said he "was sorry he had to do it!" and gave Luke a brotherly hug!
It wasn't until next morning that Luke finally came around and apologized to Joel for treating him bad.
