Hey little dude, it's good to see your message & hear that you are home & a leg up or two on conquoring that old flu bug. Knew his nasty bite a few weeks ago & he kicked my butt good ending with a sinus infection but then that's me. I've had bouts with sinus infections over the years & know it takes rest, fluids, decongestants & antibiotics. So they diagnose anything other than just high temp flu with you? Kyle said something about requiring injections. Was that antibiotics or something maybe to lower temp or settle guts down or just IV cause temp had dehydrated you?
Sorry to ask so much but had me worried going to the hospital & especially after I chewed your butt.

What's this stuff of mom having to smack your little pj ass? Bet that shocked your 17 y/o ego? Just imagine what that hand could've done to your littler bare bottom as a kid had she wanted too. You talked about the nurse walking in on you but before that, it was mom heading to the lounge to get dad--did she? Had you been pushing & warned about the out of bed stuff already? Talk about being embarrassed, would be if that nurse had walked in mid ass chewing or worse dad whuppin your little ass.

So now home, you to take it easy still a few days at home or going to try Monday for school & back to routine? You take care buddy so no relapse--ok? Let Luke know I ask about him & wish him recovery too.

I never disowned you Joel. Sometimes you give me flash back to me in HS days. You got no monopoly on stupid flub-ups as a teen. Rick I must admit took more risky ventures than I did I think but as his little brother looking up to him from kid on up, guess I took a few steps from time to time in his play book. Your reply message showed a great deal of thought & maturity last Monday. Something told me it was there just under the surface waiting to come out. I hope when dad gets back home, you two can have that talk. It will likely do you good. Your dad sounds like a fair & smart man. I see no reason for you to ask dad to punish. If he thinks that's the solution, he'll tell you--whether its a butt chewing, warning, grounded or Joel, get me the paddle & drop those drawers.

Rick & Jeanne should be getting back soon. Took her mom back home after 2 weeks. Mollie & I were at church this morning & she's coming back & likely the 4 of us going out for casual light supper knowing Rick & Jeanne will most likely be hungry & not relishing idea of cooking at the apt unless they are too tired & don't want to go out again.

Hang tight little bro--there is hope for you yet. Look at Rick at 25 & me going on 24 & we've survived the screw-up league so just see you as a novice fighting your way up through the ranks--ok dude?
