Our mom always is out-doing herself in the kitchen. Everything she makes is special & holidays--wow! We were up on our feet but took the food gingerly so as not to upset the gut & resume trips to the 'john'.

Glad you had a good Christmas. Just being with folks and our ladies was gift enough I'd say & grateful to mom for holding our hands, blowing our noses & up on our feet again. Hated when she got the flu after Christmas but recovered ok. Now literally, that snotty-nose little brother of mine is back under covers. The bitter cold & wet weather has gotten to many it seems.

The one big gift was dad's to mom. She has the BIG 50 in February so they're taking a cruise like 7 or 10 days. Will do both good to get away & find some sun to tax their complexions rather than the bitter cold. After what happened with Jeanne, I'd say our big gift for Dave & I is just having our dad still & his recovery from the heart problems last spring.

Cool dude. You guys were lucky & your school & folks gave you more than a gift--it's a life experience. Go little bro or should I say college man?

As for New Years Resolutions, I don't really make any, but will try to go by your suggestions.

You resolve to do that & you'll have responses from me & maybe from Dave too if I can get his sickly little ass out of bed soon. Little bro, you just resolve to continue to do your best this senior year, get that diploma and some of the scholarships/grants out there to get your butt into a good college not just for the sports but the best damn Joel you can turn out to be.
