Hey Big Brother Rick...

Yeah, it was fun last summer working for Coach and teaching YMCA baseball to youth. Don't know if Kyle and I will do that this summer or something else.

School and sports practices/games keeps me busy, so not alot of spare time to have an after school job or weekends. I do have chores at home, during week and weekends, summetime is lawn care, etc. I have a few inside jobs, too.

Who, you and Dave paperboys! That sounds COOL! Wish I could have done something like that, but frowing up I had chores, got allowance, etc. and had to have chores done or I didn't get paid, got toys takens away for punishments, besides getting my little butt sat in the corner or grounded to my room. I was not luck to get little butt spanked like Kyle to get out of trouble, remember? I don't hold it against my folks, now that I know the truth and how they wanted to try to raise me as a kid! So, yes I tried some skipping chores, thinking my innocent face would win mom over to give me cash, but dad made sure if I didn't earn it, like you say Rick, NO JIGGLE in the pocket for little Joel! RATS! I soon learned to get my little butt in gear and be an honest guy!

I've done some "gambling" to earn money, bets, etc. growing up and like Kenny Rogers I've ade sure to "read and hold'em when needed!" to keep cash!

Growing older I still earned money, got money for birthday and Christmas gifts from parents & grandparents and would bank it. Got allowances, but mainly my dad saw an athlete in the family so athletes make money (or was it bribery) to pay me to give l00-plus percent of my playing ability and each win of games earned me money for that bank account!

Of course, wanting to go to college earned some money given to me for good grades by mom and dad, and others, and now waiting to see what all scholarships have to offer!

What gave you and Dave idea to get paper routes, etc.?
The pay I bet is pretty good? You get to keep all the money or folks make you "bank" some of it?

Yes, got mid-semester tests this week, but with basketball our week is going to be screwed-up, so school is allowing some tests this week and makeup next week before issuing grades!

Yes, I've avoided NOT getting paddled my senior year,so has Kyle. We are both trying real hard not to "visit" the office,but would not rule it out if we had to. You know we got a bet between us that whoever "visits" the office first gets to give the loser a bare butt paddling? Any bets on who might go first, if any? Ask Dave if he wants to bet, besides you? If something happened, that involved sports practice after school or a game, I would do like Sean did! I felt sorry for him, yeah at l8 has to kinda be embarrassing to get a paddling, but guys have it done or they wouldn't have rules that they can take swats.

Hey Rick, you told Sean your school at a l0 swat Max? Whow! Why so high number? Was that to see if l7 & l8 yrs. old can take it and discourage from coming back to the office? What's the MAX you took in school, for what and in what grade? Did buddies you know ever get l0 MAX? I believe Dave never got l0 MAX? Wasn't it at least 8 he got that one time?
I don't think my little butt could take l0 max at school, I bet I would cry/yell for sure and make a fool of myself!

Yeah, I thought it was important to help Sean out,trying to talk to principal, etc. I got that idea thinking Sean would have hard time sitting on long bus ride to game and let alone try to stay focused to play basketball.

I was surprised principal would agree to delay Sean's paddling, but I think he wanted our team to have every chance to try to win, so Sean sure came through with the points.
I was so scared trying to talk to the principal, I think I was shaking some. I had to do most of the talking, even though Kyle was with me and stood. That was the same principal that paddled my little butt.

Get this Rick, when Kyle and I went into office and came out, some buddies thought we might be getting paddlings and it started almost around school that we were or had. Man di dwe have to set people straight. I thought for some that Kyle and I might have to show our white butts to prove we didn't get paddled!

Hard to believe Holy Week and Easter coming. Sounds like your church has alot of activities you can attend and enjoy and reflex on the season. Please share sometime about the "happenings" you attend?

WHOW! A reunion with BOTH sets of grandparents! COOL!
Here's a suggestion, and you need to dot it! Because you don't see your dad's folks that much, be sure to take alot of pictures of them with a camera for their visit, and maybe get both sets of grandparents in a few photos together, also you and Dave have your photos taken with each grandparents. BELIEVE ME in years to come, after the grandparents are gone, you'll have these photos to look back on forever, and we you and Dave get married, have kids you can show the pictures to your kids if the great grandparents aren't alive for your kids to know!

I'm into taking pictures, have a digital camera now, and have done both sets of grandparents this year, and mom and dad have THANKED me a HUNDRED TIMES for taking the photos. They've enlarged them and display them, etc. Be great to show my wife and kids someday, that is when I get married, find a good woman and have kids!

Have a great "VISIT" with both sets of grandparents, but especially your dad's folks, maybe you can bring them close together with your dad more etc.? Is there sort of a grift with them and your dad? Does it date back to his youth and things happening when he was growing up, or doesn't he talk much about those days?

Cool names for grandparents...Nanny & Gramps. Mine just want me to call'em grandpa and grandma. I get my little butt in trouble if I called both sets of my grandparents Nanny and Gramps, I bet? Probably commint me to a "nut house" for doing it?

Kyle got his little ass in trouble, I remember when he was young and called his grandma...Granny one time. She blew up and almost wanted to tan his little ass I remember. That left a big immpresion on my mind, think of the impression Kyle would have had on his ass!
