I'm happy for you & Hollie. You said at one time Hollie & some of her friends drove down to watch your game so if you plan to go Friday, I'd suggest game only & no stay over if mom/dad approve of you (maybe Kyle or someone go along) going & returning same night on the road. As for Mollie, Christmas may be special! Even little brothers come up with good ideas & suggestions. I've had years of experience in that role. Advice always welcome 'lil bro'.

Glad to hear that. Read your full message when I saw posted & proud of you dude that you & dad connected & bonded. In truth now dude, was it what you expected? You think the paddle Kyle made has merit and if it had been around & used growing up, looking back, thing thinks in Joel's outlook & behavior would have been different? My first at 9 sure gave me a new outlook & with my dad having been so much on the road back then, a needed dad/son bonding emerged.

Perfectly normal Joel under circumstances. If it had been something you had done wrong, you would have accepted even the strap & pain & understood grandpa's love. Abusiveness breeds hate/anger.

> David, I hope your PADDLING is special like mine was.

Knowing it brought you & your dad even closer together in bond will make it worth it. I'll never forget my first & doubt you will either. Rick & I are close bros & trust he'll deal with my bare butt fairly & adequate. In fact, it has been too long since my britches have come down for a good ass paddling. I'm like you Joel, no saint, & could put together a list of good reasons too (over past 5-6 years) like you offered your dad. I'm getting a package of white briefs similar to what I wore as a kid & tell Rick to pull them down once I'm over his leg like dad did at age 9 and tan my bare bottom the same 17 you took.

> Now you do your part, present your bare butt in

Dude, my butt's no fragile glass so it won't break under 17. I did not count the licks at age 9 but dad whupped my little ass plenty that night...bare...and made me one sorry little dude for stealing & I survived. Rick & I have set our plan for Friday evening. Both are free & don't work Saturday.

> You have to do a separate post message like I did for
>the forum record to show like I did for my paddling

You're on dude...it will be there. Promise you 'lil bro', when you read my payoff on the challenge, you won't be disappointed.

> So you think my dad might want to reactivate the
>paddle some more in the future?

Possibly!! He found out Joel can take it, said he deserved & wanted it & after, your dad/son relationship richer due to it. What do you think Joel...keep it together or give dad the need to say again 'young man, enough talking, now get those jeans & underpants down'?

Another reason for Friday is that Rick & I got word last Saturday that our apt is scheduled for painting this week so we're going to be off-line & much of our stuff under plastic drop cloths a few days. Had dinner Sunday with mom & dad & they want us to bunk in our old room at their house rather than shift around painters. Seeing how you talked with your dad, maybe I'm overdue for a dad/son talk one evening. Those use to be awesome.
