Hutch had figured his day would be easy. No work, a
freedom not much experienced. It was a day to himself.
It was "Hutch's Day" and he had been thrilled
to wake up extra early to make the most of it.
It was a free, self-willed, tea-filled day.
So it had all started with tea. He picked
a new place and ordered a cup. Wonderful!
Earl Grey! It was a fair cup, cream and sugar,
a danish to go with. Then he moved on next door.
Lovely! Assam! A scone and some berries.
It took off from there. His stomach always
empty but his mind always full.
He had wandered throughout the town ordering
this and that. Hutch had weaved his way through
streets and alleys, ending up in the shady part
of town. The area where children didn't play
and no bird dared to sing. What was poor Hutch
to do? All alone in the dirty city...
He ordered tea of course.
Genmai cha! Jasmine! Keemun! Oolong!
Souchong! Tarry, tangy, sweet, and smooth.
All the tea in the world would one day
pass his lips.
Another shop came into view. It's didn't
look quite mood setting for tea, but then
again nothing in this neighborhood had. He'd
try it all the same. As the dark haired tea
monster drew near the shop his senses were
sent into a flurry. Smells went this way,
sounds went that. But the most important thing
was his sense of aura. the air around the Velvet Underworld
was tense and restricted. Barriers and shields
seemed to fill the air...mind puzzles and
mayhem tainted the floor.
In the midst of this rush Hutch stopped
in front of the shop, foggy window clouding
his basic sense of sight, but a different
Sight was leading him. Intriguing.
Hutch took his hand from his pockets,
placing one on the handle to the shop. His
second hand came to rest upon his hip,
resulting in stressed wrinkles across his
black blazer. I sense this shops tea may be
quite good.
He opened the door to Tartarus, finding
the aura to be all one would expect
in the realm of chaos.
