Subject: The normal rule is if a player retires prior to season start, can pick from FA...
In reply to: GTD 's message, "I’m not sure where the pick 1 rule came from" on 12/02/20 12:25pm

... this means that Aaron can delist RANCE and take a FA now... or on the Wednesday before season starts.

Obviously, if he chooses to take it before the SL PSD, then he has access to all FAs, if he chooses to take it after PSD he'll be taking a risk that there may not be the same options on the FA pile... hence why I said pick 1 (It's more like pick 0, he has a free look at the FA pile before the PSD starts... if he chooses to take it).

NOTE: If Aaron does delist RANCE, he cannot be picked up because he's not on an AFL list, he won't be available on the FA pile... Aaron is the only coach who can take this gamble onboard.
