That is my opinion anyway.

I think Option 1 with the Emergency list like for like replacement is fine - what would happen if you already know a player isn't playing - you name another suitable player in your squad - so why not put a couple of KPP on the extended Emergency list. I think 8 spots is enough to cover all bases.
