Current rule (rule 7.1) only allows you to replace the DONUT with next in line EMG IF the DONUT was named in the AFL side (or ext INT for sunday/monday) for that w/e... and therefore classed as a "late out".

This ruling we're discussing wouldn't be "late out" - so we're more looking at using rule 7.2 and applying it to a standard lock-out rule.

Exactly my thoughts, Tender. You have 8 EMGS, name a KPF/KPD/R a couple utilities (ie. F2/MF or M/MD) and a couple decent MIDs as EMG 1 and 2 to at least cover all bases while still keeping the higher scoring players as your highest preference.

Yes, anyone on your INT is free reign. INT has no Balance rule, you can have 4x JET MIDs scoring 100+ (if you have em) so therefore you should be able to replace a vacant "INT" spot with any EMG (regardless of their position)... this is why it's key to decide whether (A) or (B) comes first. But then again, replacing an INT player who doesn't play will never come with a -50pt (C) because of this freedom of INT role.

Anyway, sounds like the two of you are PRO-LOCKOUT
