First off, we are the first. We have a great long history stemming back to 2004. Before Supercoach was around. All these keeper leagues are years after us. We should be ahead of all of them, having tried different things for years. My call that it was more restrictive probably wasn't the right one to make, but I would hate to head there.

You are right, a fill in ruckman wouldn't score as much. Nor would a key position player that would be on the bench or probably in emergencies if the man Ruckman were there.

Like my example, Balta was stinking it up in SC points in Defence. He had dropped to my 23rd player and was first emergency. Stanley was emergency for Cats, so I named him in the ruck, hoping Chris Scott would come to his senses and pick him. He didn't, so my first emergency came in. He scored awesomely on the weekend, for the first time exceeding 80 points for the first time since round 2.

I was concerned with my set up that I could have been getting penalised 50 points a game for the rest of the season. And I probably would have been if I didn't speak up. The coaches that are losing, may not speak up with similar issues, and in a years time, they just leave, leaving Mods with the side to fill, that might be hard. We do not want a coaches roundabout again.

The discussion I was unaware of, with the 3 hitouts average for the past two years would fix the issue I had, and others would and do have. But this was just a discussion and wasn't implemented into the rules page on sheets or concluded on the board. There was even an intention to get back to it, and it wasn't.

I get that mods have a tough job, but when I ask regarding Balta as a ruck, which qualifies (Unbeknownst to me at the time), for a mod to delete my question, then deduct 50 points, with no word back or discussion entered into, makes me fear the coaches struggling. If that is what they are putting up with, they will leave. Seen it before.
