Subject: Structure of the competition consideration

Moderators, what are they? They are coaches in this league that are prepared to do more work in running this competition than other coaches. They are a circuit breaker to disagreements. IE: Five Mods agree or disagree on a subject, and the disagreement is decided with a smaller say 3-2 vote than having to go to Vote amongst 14 Coaches.

Is this the best way forward? Moderators often suggest that the tasks take up a hell of a lot of time, and is very difficult to be the one that need to decide a conclusion of a disagreement.

Often a competitions participants will feel restricted by decisions, and feel there is a dictatorship of a couple of people running things how they see fit.

Breaking all this down, this competition has tasks to be done. Rules to be in place to set and forget, decisions to be made on individual requests such as balance of ones lineups. But at the end of the day, these are tasks.

What if we split these tasks amongst all our coaches. Say we have 14 tasks, shared with 14 coaches. Everyone was responsible for something. Would that make people feel more included, equally important, not dictated to.

1. Ladder
2. Fixture
3. Results
4. Drafts
5. Team Balance (Discussions, Decisions)
6. Rules
7. Voy Setup (Votes, Trades and Draft Pick set Up)
8. Emails for coaches
9. Team Selection
10. Scores
11. Player Tracking (Free Agents List)
12. Sheets (Formatting yearly)
13. Trades
14. Salary Cap? (If it come in)

These can be discussed in great detail, and others can be bought in to make our comp better, but it would share the load better, and put systems in place that are adhered to better.

Thoughts?
