Subject: 40 year old farmer

Lao Wu is a 40year old farmer staying in Fujian Town Nan Ping Pu, China. He spent a total of RMB 40000 to get a 21year Vietnam wife. In just a day before they were to register their marriage, the Vietnam girl was thinking of her Vietnam husband and her son, she dumped him and run away to Vietnam. It was found that the Vietnam girl has come to China will all the necessary legal documents, but just a 1 month social visit. She is also already married to a Vietnam husband in her hometown and a son.
Fourty+ year old Lao Wu , is a hardworking farmer, who uses all his RMB 40000 saving to buy the marriage. He is still single at 40+, and desperate to get a wife. But in his hometown, many of the village girls went to city to find opportunity. It was difficult to find a partner, especially doing farm work, where there were lots of bachelors. One or two lucky ones did get a good Vietnam wife, and even manage to get a house in town, which envious Lao Wu. Unfortunately, he is not that lucky.
In Jan, after much saving, Lao Wu went to an agent and was introduced to a 21year old Vietnam girl. He paid his hard earned RMB 33000 to the agent who includes the necessary introduction fees, and journey back and forth Vietnam and dowry. Little did he know about the background of the girl. The Vietnam girl father was a alcoholic and after receiving the dowry RMB4000, he shown Lao Wu a “single” certificate, claiming not married. The Vietnam girl, Chow, a little unwilling, was brought to Lao Wu. Lao Wu was trilled and brought her to shopping and spent a few thousand RMB onto her with clothes and a handphone.

After staying for 2 days in Vietnam, Lao Wu went back to China and eagerly awaiting for her Vietnam wife. The Vietnam girl Chow arrived on Feb and Lao Wu can feel his “beautiful dream” has finally come true. He and his relative were ready to register the marriage and because they have to get certified by the authority. On that day before register, they stay in a hostel in town. But Chow suddenly disappeared and Lao Wu was worried. He thought Chow was kidnapped and went report to the authority.
The authority later found her and brought the bad news to Lao Wu: Chow was in fact married in Vietnam and even has a son. Her Vietnam husband was a woodcutter and earn very little. Chow father, who likes to drink, often pressure his daughter to get more money. Due to that, Chow gave in and decided to marry in China, thinking that will bring home more money! But later, Chow realized Lao Wu was in fact not really that “rich” as described by her father! Therefore on that day before registering the marriage, she ran away. At the end, she was back to Vietnam together with her relative “safely” and poor Lao Wu, his beautiful dream was left devastated!
Total of RMB 40000 hard earn saving, to a farmer, was left with sorrows and left with emptiness. He was back to square!
