Thanks Sharon for the photos, it was great to see them. Our internet is really, really bad at the moment, but never any cheaper, even when it doesn't work at all!

Hi Kim
He certainly looks like he's getting around ok and coping well and I do hope that the new opinion will find a way to keep him pain free and mobile for many years yet. If it's any consolation old grumpy Bob here, has been completely unsound with arthritis on his back legs since his cruciate ops went badly wrong, but he still gets to do everything he wants to do, maybe a bit slower than he would have done, but it certainly doesn't stop him! Like Bear he uses his front far more to compensate and will take all the weight and strain on those big shoulder muscles to achieve whatever he needs to do. It's not always pretty (has he ever been pretty though?) but he gets the job done, even if that is getting on my bed in the middle of the night! These dogs will compensate for any weakness with mind over matter and their pain threshold is incredibly high. If it can be done, they will do it somehow! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all.

Jen
