Lapse of concentration in this sentence, apologies. It should read:

To not test for fear of bad results is worse than kicking yourself in the head, sure you will take some flack [for the not so special outcomes], but hell, there's worse things in life than a bit of flack from the uninformed!

Note to self: Try to concentrate on one thing at a time and don't go off and walk the dogs in mid sentence!
