Subject: Female advice needed

Dear ladies,
Bomani has teething problems and seems to prefer plants and ornaments above all the toys we have given him. My wife has a job making X-rays in a local hospital four days per week. She leaves the home at 06:35 and returns around 16:35. While she is away Bomani sometimes escapes my attention and destroys one or more of those decorations that my wife seems to find important to have. It is increasingly difficult for me to replace such things with lookalikes before my wife comes home. So there will be a moment when I cannot hide my boys's "crime". If my wife comes home and I have a big bunch of flowers ready for her she probably will start a very detailed investigation of the home as she will somehow sense that another piece of rubbish has been made usefull just for once. At least that is how I look at it but maybe she thinks different about this. What can I do when such an accient has happened to prevent my wife's mood declining slightly? I am obviously not capable of understanding the female mind but I do love my wife very much, really. Thanks beforehand!
