Hi Dana!

Thank you for your response and your insights on my message. I must admit, I had to think awhile before I would respond to your comments.

Are you Correct at the present time in your convictions - YES!!!

Let me ask this Question though.....30 Years ago, Do you think any woman would be Racing AND Winning races in the Indy Style Racing? We know that at present, Danica Patrick is doing Very Well Competing against men. 30 years ago that thought would have been absurd.

In the early 1970's, Women's basketball would be a half Court game for the Players involved..at that Time, NO Women's team would be able to Compete agaionst a Men's Team. Using your anology of a Boys High School Football Team being able to beat any of these Women's Teams, do you not think that a Team like the Women's Connecticut Basketball Team would surely Beat Most Boys High School Teams? Keep in mind, that is a Time period of 40 years.

My point is this...Women have come a Long Way, and they continue to Close the gap on Men's and Boy's Teams. The Day could come when Women's Teams are Comparable to Men's Teams based on the Progress Women are making..is that the Reality Tody? NO it is Not.

Another Point you bring up that is Very Valid is that Women and giorl's do NOT Support Women's athletics Teams..the Reason I contend is still in how we raise Girls. Girls Still recieve Tea Sets and Dollies and are STRONGLY Encouraged to be "Girly". The Femalse that are Strongly into Sports, and I have none mnay of these Girls and Women over the years, Despise the FACT that they were Coercerd into being girly. This "Brainwashing" is very hard for women to Overcome, but yet many have.

With all that established, what woyuld happen to the Male's Athletic Prowness if they were STRONBGLY Encouraged to be Girly and NOT Be Competative? Would they not be more like the Traditional Girl or Woman of the past? This is Why women and Girl's are not Supporting Female Sports, because they are Too Busy being traditionally Feminine...Clothes Shopping, Getting their nails Done, Going to the Salon, and always Dieting and NOT Developing their muscles and Athletic Skills.

Do Hormones play a part? YES. But I do not belive that hormones are as Strong a Detriment as the Upbringing itself. Various Videos of Girls beating Boys in Wrestling where size is Equal shows despite the STRONG Influence on those Girls to be Feminine and Sweet, they can OVERCOME those "Negatioves"..in terms of excelling in Sports, to Beat Boys..where it is all Equal.

I don't know if this all makes sense, but I am stating my point that perhaps not in my lifetime, but eventually IF women and Girls decide they really WANT to be competative with men and Boys, it is a Poossibility. I would Never Say NEVER to the Human Spirit, whether that be in a Male Human or a Female Human!

Your Friend!

Patti
