You have not demonstrated any such thing. The existence of maximal perfection does not entail the existence of any deities, though comparisons with imaginary deities could conceivably be made for those who have difficulty understanding the concepts involved. If you want to better understand the properties of God and their respective attributes of “perfection,” I suggest you go to this web page.

>Do you get the idea here Wade. When you say god is the
>greatest, to what are you
>comparing to?

Everything. Remember Anselm defines God as, “that which nothing is greater.” For the specifics involved and how one arrives at the attribute of “perfection,” I suggest you go the web page I pointed to earlier. I should point out that I wasn’t actually creating a persuasive paper arguing in favor of the ontological argument in the web page you speak of. I was just putting up an article to explain it. If you read the web article carefully, you’d see that I put up objections to the argument, disputable points, explicitly stated, “I’m still not entirely sure what to make of it all.” I’ll say it again, I am uncertain about the soundness of the ontological argument. It is certainly not “my” argument in the sense that I believe it to be true.

I suppose that’s true.

>it exist in your

If it is given that I believe God actually exists and not just in my imagination, this implies that I don’t have the guts to “admit the truth” and do not “understand how the English language works.” Now do you understand why it appears to me that you are at times bitter?

>Now you can call me the most bitter person in the
>world--- but look what you have
>done-1) set limits (the world) 2) you imply there are
>people that are less bitter than I.

Actually, there doesn’t have to be less bitter people for you to be the most person in the world. If you were the only person in the world, you would also have to be the bitterest—and the most pleasantly kind. The point is that there doesn’t have to be other deities for there to be the greatest possible being. There doesn’t even have to be any other possible beings.

>So it is your turn to wave your hands-- Proclaim

>your accusations, kick up a dust storm and see if the

For the record, I don’t proclaim magic, jump up and down, or kick up a dust storm. If I have confused you, I apologize.

>PS-- I know my tone is sharp. I make no apologies, but
>I also say that Wade to me you are
>not a bad person--your are smart, well educated, kind,

Thank you, though this seems to contradict your seeming implications like not having the guts to admit the truth and not understanding how the English language works.
