The bible is full of contradictions because the bible is NOT a book, but a collection of many books that were written by many people over a long period of time to address the problems of that time, including to act as sales literature intended not only to retain members, but also to maximize the number of new members of specific (new?)versions of belief systems. Nevertheless many people seem to worship the bible, ignoring God, and ignoring the requirements of God.
..... If it is true that God inspired (some of? all of?) the writers of the books of the bible, then it is also true that God has continued to communicate with people ever since. Such more recent communications from God must not be ignored.
..... God prohibited killing, stealing, adultery, etc. and people are free to obey or not; but, maybe, we all will be judged after we are physically dead, as to what we have done, or not done, up to that time, and dealt with accordingly.
