One can site biblical passages and spin the interpretation in whatever way they like, but until the whole "Is the Bible really the word of God?" issue is addressed, then it's all a rather moot point.

When I see posts like this, I see "Blah blah blah blah leviticus 3:45" and it's all rather immaterial to my main concern.

So, I suspect you'll get few replies, because you don't address the most obvious premise.
