Subject: I've seen volunteers come go. Some, not all but some, volunteered for the wrong reasons. If you volunteer expecting something out of it, you will always be disappointed in the end and walk away with a bad feeling about the situation. Volunteering is giving of yourself with absolutely no expectations of anything in return. A lot of people miss that. It is a thankless job. It truly is. And i wouldn't say they are "old school". Miss America has a rich history and tradition and i think its

Further to that, i wouldn't say that a "wake up call" is needed. Sure, there are always way to improve and grow but there are a lot of us who like to see the tradition of Miss America honored. If you lose that old fashioned tradition of who Miss America is,, you're just like every other pageant out there.Maybe I'm old fashioned but i think some of us need to be :)02:20:52 05/27/11 Fri
