Subject: I vote to Toshiba

I didn't use HP laptop before, but installed many desktops at my work. We used many systems (I dont know why), and all of them was very sloow. The most slowly was the hard disk : we tryed a read/write test software : and only 16-18MB/Sec.
A Western Digital HDD was 24MB/sec (in same config but other hardware), replacing with an IBM we got 27-28MB/sec. We tryed everything : more memory, better processor, but nothing, Windows 2000 (installed from images) loaded 10-15sec slower. This was the Brio... Maybe the laptops are better, I dont know. I seen many type of notebooks and the best was the ThinkPad. So, if you can buy one, do it! If not, I vote to Toshiba (I support 2 P266 Toshiba notebook and these works well...)
