All I can say is that I just got what appears to be virtually the same model (with a different #) Friday at Costco and for only $1499. It has 3 regular USB ports and 1 PCMCIA, other than that, they appear to be identical (P4 2.4, Firewire...). It's great! I'm loading it up with all my MP3's and programs and it's barely a blip on the 60GB drive.

Of course, being Costco you'd have to hurry. The great news is that you get 6 months to try it out there. You can't beat that anywhere.
