What a great week I had at the Omni with everyone in attendance. It looked to me like a grand time was had by all. A big shout out to Miss Kelli for another great state pageant. Props have to be sent out to all of the production team who helped make it another great year for TX Cinderella. Congratulations to all of you for working so hard to be the best that you could be that week. Now that the pageant is over, look back and see what areas you may be able to improve upon. Was your interview as informative as you had hoped? Did you fully prepare your talent presentation so you could give it away to the audience without thinking about each step or note? How about your introductions, were they natural, or did they sound like something you recorded the week before you arrived? I encourage you to look at each ot these components, not only for those preparing for Internationals, but those preparing for your life outside of Cinderella. The more you are willing to examine, and reexamine, and then take what you have learned from your experiences and further examine your progress, can be a sure fire way to help reach the goals you have set for yourself.
For those who are going to internationals, I have a one maybe two spots left for the week. For those wanting to brush up on anything, I will be at Palace Station on Sunday, and as I have to make room for girls from numerous states, this time is filling up quickly as well. Some have been in touch with Miss Cassie arranging your times, and you can also feel free to contact me at the number below. If you will not be there until Sunday night, we can always connect before you leave for Vegas by Skype. Ahh, the joys of technology. :-)
Congratulations again to everyone, thank you to those who took the time to meet with me and incorporated my concepts into their week, and finally to Sydney, Anna Beth, and Sheridan for bringing me onto their respective teams. I’m proud to have been a small part of your success. You will be great representatives for The Cinderella Scholarship Program.

It has been several years since my daughter Taylor has competed in Cinderella pageants and is hoping to get back very soon! My mother-in-law and her mom were the owners of Mike Benet Formals and owned the company over 40 years. Many of you know the beautiful gowns they designed and made. The company sold several years ago and before that the company suffered a tragic fire that wiped out everything. They rebuild everything but something they did not keep were samples of all the dresses. I have the most wonderful mother-in-law and we would love to surprise her for mother's day with as many dresses that we can. So to all the mom's out there if you have any Mike Benet gowns packed away and would like to get rid of, please let me know. I really appreciate any help with this. Hello Texas Cinderella peeps
Having spent most of my career performing, being “the interview guy” has come as a delightful surprise. I really love it! I wanted to remind everyone that I have also worked extensively with many Cinderella girls on performance. Like the interview, a performance has so much to do with the connection the performer has to the piece and how it movies her, which in turn moves the audience or the adjudicator. I know teachers (and moms) can be funny about having others work with their students (kids), however what I do only enhances performance, which in the end is what will make the performer stand out.
Miss Cassie is very kindly working out all of the scheduling details while I am there at Boot Camp, and knows what is best at what time and where. Her contact number is 979-575-0797.

Hello everyone
April is already here. WOW!! It may seem a bit late to address resolutions since most people associate them with the new year, meanwhile a resolution can be made at any time of the year, and for many different reasons. However, why is it that often the resolutions we make, end up fizzling out before we have accomplished what it is we have set out to do? Perhaps it is because our focus is on achieving immediate results for something that undoubtedly takes time to change, improve, or overcome. When we focus on the outcome, we can become frustrated with the length of time it seems to take to achieve that goal. A couple of definitions for the word resolution are:
a formal expression of opinion or intention
and
the act of resolving or determining upon an action or course of action, method, procedure, etc.
Resolutions can seem daunting when viewed as an intention or course of action that lies somewhere “out there” in our future. Now if your intention or course of action is to get up and turn off a light, your result can be pretty much immediate. But what if your resolution is weight loss, saving money, or being better organized, improving grades or working out, volunteering or learning a language. All of these tasks surely seem daunting, not only because of the time frame needed to achieve them, but also because of what we may have to give up to achieve the desired results. And because we often don’t see results immediately, we tend to give up or find excuses as to why it will never work. However, if we use a different form of the word resolution, and choose to be resolute in our actions, it makes what we are doing much more immediate, which in turn offers a more immediate sense of accomplishment.
Resolute is defined:
firmly resolved or determined; set in purpose or opinion.
and
characterized by firmness and determination, as the temper, spirit,
actions, etc.
So, whether it is counting calories, refraining from unnecessary luxuries, putting our lives in order, committing to more study time, working out, volunteering, or learning a new language, if we determine what is needed day to day, and are resolute and work though those actions on a daily basis, you will be well on your way to accomplishing anything you set out to do. It is truly amazing that these small changes in our focus can make such a big difference in achieving all that we want to achieve.
