Subject: Just got my bottom lit up like a firecracker Author: Rachel [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 07:30:14 02/03/12 Fri So much for my 10 month streak :( About twenty minutes ago, one of my sisters and I were at the kitchen table working on math work (we homeschool half the day, and go to "real" school the other half) and mom walks in holding my cellphone and visibly livid. She has my text messages open and is asking me "what are these young lady?" and pointing to three text messages I sent the other day right after my cell phone grounding got extended. Back story on that, I didn't really intend to start "texting" while my cell phone was gone. But when I got in trouble the other day for my fib on here, and lost my cell phone for an additional week, and all my friends thought I was getting it back that night, I didn't want my best friends upset if I ignored them when they welcomed me back that night. So while mom was at work I simply went and sent three friends a brief text explaining that I wouldn't be getting my phone back for another week. I didn't read any of my missed texts, nor did I check it again to see if they responded. I tried explaining that to mom, and she technically "listened", but she wouldn't listen. Just kept going off on how no cell phone meant no cell phone, and if I thought what I did was ok why did I do it while she was at work and never mention it etc etc Before I knew it she had pulled the belt out of the pantry and was asking my sister to wait in the next room. I tried pleading, begging, stalling but all to no avail. I got bent over the back of the chair in the kitchen (the usual spot), skirt up and panties down, and mom lit me up with ten HARD swats. My butt is on FIRE!!! :( :( :( I came running straight here cause I don't have anyone else I can talk about this with. It seems so unfair. I know I probably shouldn't have texted, but I haven't gotten a spanking in SO long, so to get such a harsh one now when all I did was let my friends know I was still grounded :( :( I feel so embarrassed and, moreso, in so much pain :( This REALLY stinks I've also now lost my cellphone "indefinitely" [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]

Don't hate me Rachel but...Your Mom is right! You did use your cell phone during the extended one week punishment period, while your Mom was at work. I can see your view too, wanting to let your friends know too. Would you have had another way to let them know about the extra week without texting them on the cell phone? I know you didn't really intentionally want to disobey! Too bad you didn't think to talk with your Mom that you needed to let your friends know somehow that you wouldn't be able to talk with them for another week, using your cell phone or some other means. If you had NOT texted your friends and waited to ask your Mom if you could have, think she would have let you or suggested another way to contact them? Rachel, I want to be in your corner on your seeking an answer if you did wrong or was it right but, the evidence is against you this time! Yes, it seems on fair, especially you going so long without getting spanked, which I am proud of you doing. I wished I could have been able to have said that in the long amount of time you went without getting spanked but, I got spanked last October/ November. My dad paddled by bare butt for forgetting to bring home my varsity sports coat after several times being told to do so when I accidentally left it at school in one of my lockers. Rachel, what happened later on at home? Did you and your Mom talk some more after she calmed down? I hope maybe you did and explained to her that you didn't mean to do this, and that you should have asked first to see if you might have your cell phone back temporary to let your friends know you wouldn't be able to talk/text messages with them. Hey Rachel, there's a cool guy named Dylan in the forum and he's really good to help descide on issues that you had happen and form an opinion. We sometimes call him JUDGE DYLAN. I'll have to see about leaving him a message usuing your thread here and see what he says. He actually recently was in London on visit as his dad is a businessman, travels and Dylan went with him and his mom and Dylan picked up an actual JUDGES ROBE over there. I'll leave Dylan a message and we'll see what he says, okay? And You and Dylan can talk and you plead your case. You heard my view/opinion. I hope your bottom later on was able for you to go back to sitting down okay? For me, my last paddling I didn't attempt to as I got it close to bedtime and slept on my stomach! We did talk later, and she was really understanding, but she wouldn't back down. She said if I had asked permission to text them she probably would have said yes, but me doing it behind her back was above and beyond.....especially since she says I've been "walking dangerously close to the line" for a while. What's worse is she has really been cracking down on a lot of rules she used to let go on since this. I think she kind of decided I'd been let off too easy in the past. I've come close to a spanking twice just in the last week (avoided it both times)...once for backchat, once for leaving my swimsuit/towel at school two days in a row. I do somewhat understand your perspective that I deserved what I got, and I would NEVER be mad at someone for being honest (I want honest advice, not to be told what I want to hear). I guess this all just surprised me because I had gone so long without a spanking....so to get such a severe one (10 hard swats) with no warning...... It just felt/feels unfair. Despite the arguement between Rachel and her Mom, Rachel got a spanking that she thinks was unjustified and wrong to have been given to her. So, here's the ruling from the e-bench: It seems that you were being punished for deliberately disobeying your parents. In most courts of parental law, that's a big no-no. Perhaps you didn't intend to, but if I'm reading the court transcripts correctly, that's what you were charged with. If so, the punishment is usually on the high end, as you now know all too well. My colleague Dr Dylan, an expert despankologist, suggests that in the future you (and anyone else reading this) might want to negotiate a way to let your friends know you were busted for another week. Doing while your mom was out just looks bad. Regular Dylan can negotiate most things with his parents. Not sure what it's like for you.... Anyway, regular Dylan and the two of us are sorry you got it so bad. It doesn't seem like you meant to get in big trouble, but we see where your mom was coming from. I agree it seems a bit unfair as you didn't majorly disobey when you sent the texts, but then it's her rules and I suppose an absolute no phone rule means no phone. Quite often punishments seem unfair but then it's not our choice is it or we would never get them at all. Hope that makes sense. I'm also sorry you got the belt so hard, even though I know that's what you normally get. My stepmum used to get the belt and I think maybe her parents might be prepared to still use it on me if I was bad enough. I've always been really scared of the idea, it sounds so painful and severe and stuff, I think over here it would probably be seen as abuse most of the time if it was used. I am really sorry you got spanked. I've gotten spanked because of a cell phone before too, it is NOT fun! It seems to happen to teenage girls a lot haha. I was texting in church and my mom told me to stop, but I went to the bathroom and kept texting. I got a spanking in the church bathroom. I get spanked with a belt too and it HURTS! If you think maybe your mom was unreasonable or unfair, you should wait a few days and talk to her. In my experience parents are less likely to listen to you right before you're about to be punished because it really sounds like you're just trying to get out of a spanking. But one you're calm, and things have blown over, you could try to bring up what happened and let her know you thought it was too harsh and explain why you did what you did again.
