Hi Charles, I would recommend a paddle, a ping pong paddle would be fine and it can be used to give a spanking over your knee or with the child just bending over something, alternatively just make a small wooden paddle. Use both here to deal with misbehavior. However, for your twins I would say your hand should be sufficient to communicate parental disapproval at their age.

Charles,

I would not necessarily use the same implement for the 13/14 yo as for 9 yo twins. The latter might be better off with a longer spanking by hand. However, use a broad paddle or a leather soled shoe if firmer punishment is needed.

For teens, a wide belt doubled up, might be a good implement otherwise as above a wide paddle with a bit more weight, but not enough to bruise, I do not agree with bruising.
