Hey Dr. Dylan,

Please read a separate thread that has been posted about Mark the Athlete having what seems to be the flu and he's exposed me to it; while I was at his house studying for a test and sleeping over.

For sure Mark has the flu I believe, and his dad says he does, and he's exposed me to it and we'll find out for sure when we are taken to see a doctor this morning.

We'll for sure be ordered to not play in our high school basketball game tonight, which means if we don't play with the team and contrbute to win our team could lose the game and blemish our undefeated team record for the season because Mark is our team's leading scorer in games and I'm our third leading scorer on the team.

I know what the doctor is going to say to the both of us, to stay in bed, keep warm, drink plenty of fluids and let the flu run its course, even though I don't have it worse like Mark does.

Mark wants to play the basketball game badly and so do I, but I'm more sensible then Mark to want to follow doctors orders and father's orders; and Mark has stated that we "need a second doctor's opinion to allow us to play in the basketball game tonight!"

Dr. Dylan by the time you see this post, read this and see and read the other post, probably our Friday basketball game will have been played without us (slight chance with us), so your second opinion probably won't matter if we played or not but, we'd like to hear your doctor opinion on this matter, even if it will be a second opinion.

Any orders from you for treatment, besides what we'll probably be told to do from the doctor we will have seen early in the day?

Your opinion is VERY VALUABLE to us!

Also, our next basketball game to be played after tonight's game will be next Tuesday, any words of advice for us both to follow between now and then?

One statement that was said by Mark's dad to him to help get him better (and can be applied to me too to get me better)is that Mark's dad told him that he better follow orders to get over the flu or if he thinks he feels bad now that he could feel worse later on because something could happen to make him wish he had followed orders now.

In your opinion Dr. Dylan, don't you think Mark's dad means business with Mark and could have my dad apply it to me (GULP) too?

Or don't you know what Mark's dad is talking about?

I and Mark will be waiting to hear from you!

Sorry, as a despankologist I really don't have any expertise with the flu. (Would you go to a cancer specialist for a broken leg?)

All three Dylans hope you're feeling better though.

As for following dad's orders, that's something I do have expertise in! In the interest of your butts, I strongly recommend that you follow all orders to the letter. At least you can SIT on the bench then while you get healthy.

Good luck!

Hi Dr. Dylan,

I woke up earlier then Mark so I thought I would reply to your welcomed message.

If you will look over separate threads I have posted you will see that Mark and I "visited" the Team Doctor yesterday who confirmed that Mark had a severe case of the flu and I have a mile case.

Mark told them at the doctor's office right off that he had the flu as I, him and our dad's entered. Mark lost his cookies! Boy, was that a shock to see!

Now about you, Dr. Dylan.

You don't have any expertise about the flu? Gee, Mark and I thought you were an "expert" in a number of wide open fields of being a doctor. We've always thought you to be outstanding!

As for would we go to a cancer doctor for a broken leg? Yes, we would, if we had one. Do you know a good one we could place on file should some of our own doctors be busy? Again, we would go to such a doctor because at some point in that doctor's training we believe he had been told or saw how a broken leg should be set and cared for, etc.

Most doctors don't just stick to one field. They can make more money branching out.

Look at you, Dr. Dylan. First you was a doctor in just one field, then you advanced to another field and then a third field. Gives you a chance to earn more three times the money or even if offered Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream, instead of just sticking to one field, right?

We apprecate your "well wishes" besides the other two Dr. Dylan's to us.

We appreciate you Dr. Dylan giving us "dad advice" as you do have expertise in that, and for you too taking an "interest" in our two butts. You will notice, if you read in a separate thread during our doctors visit how he took an interest in them, and we thought at first a mistake had been made when a nurse entered and was "interested" too!

Back to your advice, you "recommend that we follow all orders to the letter" in the interest of our two butts? You got it, or should we say if we don't, we'll get it?

The Team Doctor gave us some orders, and our two dad's added some orders to them, not revealed to that doctor, but we will heed those orders and add your additional instructions to our dad's orders. Will there be a fee charged to us for your "orders"?

As for we "can sit on the bench, while we get healthy". We were "RED FLAGGED" and not allowed to play basketball or have contact with the team in fear we might give them the flu, and we discovered we are the only two team members to have come down with the flu and no other team members have. As for why Mark got a severe case and I only a mild case, guess that is a mystery. Would you care to seek and find information why this happened to Mark and me?

As for sitting the bench, again we can have no contact with the team. If given an "All Clear to return to the team and play basketball" our coach could make us "sit the bench" some in our first game back from having the flu to adjust to playing again, and for sure we would want to be able to, without having to "adjust" to sitting, should something happen to have caused two butts and their owners to not have "followed orders" by any doctor, either Team Doctor or Dr. Dylan!

We appreciate your advice and interest! We will follow your orders as well, Dr. Dylan!

See, you have branched out again in your "fields of doctors" and now have advanced into Sports Medicine as a doctor. Congratulations!

As for how Mark and I are doing today, well I'm feeling better. As for Mark, he's still sleeping. He did seem to have a more restful night then the evening before we went to bed and I discovered and heard him "visiting" the bathroom several times to throw up or take care of business at another "end".

We would like to hear from you with any further advice and encouragement, Dr. Dylan. Thank you.

Our best to the other Two Dylans as well! Good Day!

Yes, if you're that sick, stay away from other people. No sitting on the bench or in the stands.

Doctor's orders!

Dr Dylan

Hello Dr. Dylan...

Thank you for your Medical Advice!

We will stay away from people, we have to as we have been ordered to bedrest and trying to get well at Mark's house as we mentioned.

We'll stay away from people but, will people stay away from us.

Our girlfriends Holly (Mark) and Kelly (Jake) stopped by at Mark's house to wish us "GET WELL WISHES" inperson after only being able to cellphone us and text messages to us.

We talked with them at a safe distance, under the supervision of Mark's Mom, and we each received a gift of a "GET WELL SOON" Teddy Bear to cheer us up. Boy, will it be great to sleep with them, knowing our girlfriends gave them to us, to help us feel better and want to get well!

Yes, Dr. Dylan...we will follow your orders, too!

No sitting on the players bench of in the stands at school.

Hopefully we can recover before Tuesday night's basketball game to play in or play some in. We have two games left in the regular season this week and it will determine if we win a LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP outright or share it!

We have been taught to "share with others" doing our lives, but this once we want to NOT SHARE if you can understand!

Any more orders for us, Dr. Dylan?

We have been behaving ourselves to protect "something else" from not getting hurt. Of course, if we did screwup, the "something else" wouldn't have to feel any pain until we fully recovered from the flu. We'd just soon keep the "someething" else white and unhurt as both have been for awhile.

Oh, we are now in the early stages of head colds, too!

Any advice?

Thank you Dr. Dylan, you are a Good Doctor!

patients: Jake and Mark Athlete
