I was recently diagnosed as having a heart murmur and was told that I have to get an injection of antibiotic before pulling a tooth that was infected. I went to my doctor's office an hour before going to my dentist and the nurse came to the room and told me that the doctor has ordered two injections. She asked me to lay on the couch and lowered my pants, rubbed the left cheek with alcohol and jabbed the first needle. It was painful but the real pain was when she started the injection of penicllin,I was clenching my teeth and starting to cry. It took for ever to pull the needle out. She then got to the other side with another smaller injection. I was contracting my muscles and it was painful but less than the first one. At the dentist's office a hour later I was sitting on very sore butts getting again needles of freezing in my mouth. Bad enough, the dentist recommended that I continue on the penicillin injection for another two days after which I was full of bruises.

Just wondering if you ever continued the penicillin injections. How long was your butt sore and did it take for the bruises to go away.
