Sore for about four days.
The jabs contained thick white penicillin, injected deep into the buttocks. Any pressure on muscles or movement was terribly painful.

The shots were acutely painful when injected. I felt the long needles as they were forced in deep. Then a brief pause before the searing pain as the nurse depressed the syringe plunger and the penicillin was discharged into me. The antibiotic going in was the worst part. During one injection the pain was so bad I moved and the nurse told me to keep still or the needle would break!
Both cheeks of my bottom continued to hurt, a nagging, sort of throbbing pain. A constant reminder of the jabs.
