I had the choice of taking two injections in the arm and coming back for two more in a few days or taking two I the arm and two in the buttocks. I opted to get all four. The nurse lead be to a treatment area separated from the waiting area by a curtain. It was winter and I was wearing a sweater and long sleeved shirt, so she said, I guess you better go ahead and undress to your undies and left to get the medicine. Everybody in the waiting room could hear what was going on. She gave me shots I both arms, and said okay Bob, boxers down and bend over the table. When she was finished she announced "all done, you can get dressed." After I dressed I was told to sit in the waiting room for 15 minutes in case I had a reaction to the shots. I returned to the waiting area where my female associate who was also traveling with me was waiting. She gave me a sympathetic smile and said I guess it's my turn. There were new nurses training that day so they were all watching the mentor nurse give me my shots. I had 4 shots - all in my butt! It hurt so bad and there were like 5 nurses who saw it all. Throughout my youth and adolescence I had to pull everything down and bend over a receptionist's lap for them. I feared the humiliation of a girl watching me get them in my bare bottom so much more than the pain as to distract me from the actual injections. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
