Subject: unanticipated injections

Having grown up in the era of penicillin shots, every time I went to the doctor my greatest fear was the painful humiliation of bending over the receptionist's lap to get one. When I needed a routine medical for changing schools, therefore, I felt confident that, not being ill, I wouldn't need one. I had, however, forgotten about booster shots and had to bend over the girl's lap with pants down for her to watch me get three quick stings in my bare bottom. Although I was initially relieved that they didn't hurt as much as my usual penicillin shots back there, I couldn't sit down next day.

Has anybody else had similar unwelcome surprises?

Yes Nick. One of my greatest fears were the injections as a kid that I didn't know were coming. It was actually terrible to live that way. I watched my parents carefully and did figure out a few times that they intended on giving me a shot. On those occasions, I unsuccessfully ran many many blocks only to be caught by a neighbor and brought home. Other times I was caught by surprise and held down for a shot. In all these cases I wasn't ill. Badddddddd

Regardless of what Nick did, I don't see being that vile with him?
