Subject: rabies shots advice please

I am getting rabies shots in a few days. I was told I need 4 please tell me where they go and how much they hurt. I need advice to make them hurt less

Rabies shots are no longer given in the abdomen. Full dosage is now injected in the buttock and can be a bit painful but boosters can be given in the arm or leg, although all injections hurt least in the bottom.

Look at the bright side, if you can call it that; as nick said...no longer given in the stomach, an excruciating pain that you felt each day for 21 days. I had the old style shots. Believe me, no fun!
These days the shots are spaced out over I believe a month, and again as Nick said, your first injection might well be a buttocks injection, and the rest when given, most likely in your arms. But if you haven't started them, certainly ask the doctor who'll be administering them.
