I had asked in a previous post how likely it was that someone born in 1995, that would be 19/20 now, has ever had a shot in the bottom. I was basically told it would depend on the medical professionals.

I had wondered about this one person because I found out she was scared of shots from a young age and I wondered if she had ever had one in the bottom.

I have found out, through her mom, that she had. The girl was 5 when this happened. Her mom had to get her pants and jeans down and hold her on the exam table. I was told that the shot was given slowly and that when more medication was pushed in the girl would scream. After the shot the girl is said to have cried and screamed bloody murder and to have been ill as a hornet for the rest of the day.

I was also told that the girl's bottom was given a Band-Aid after. I don't think I remember ever getting a bandage when I was a kid.

Anybody got any ideas about what kind of shot this might have been?

Yeah, I have an idea...the shot that made her scream, that's what kind it was! if it had to be injected slowly, it probably only6 exacerbated the initial pain of the needle going into her buttock, through her fat layer to the muscle, then the medication (and I know some can have a very burning sensation when injected)slowly pushed into her. That's what the shot was...something fairly painful for a young girl.

Many kids will get butt shots if they test positive for strep or have an infection, etc...... Even Birth Control could mean a shot in the butt and STD's certainly do.......
