In reply to: Carol 's message, "11 year old got bit by a dog" on Sunday, July 12, 2015, 05:56: pm

A receptionist once told me that boys of all ages tended to have an erection when standing up after bending over her lap for a shot, but never before bending over.

Carol,

I hope the dog is found and not to be rabid. Was the dog known to you? If so, then the authorities can deal with the animal. If your son needed stitches I can see why a tetanus shot was in order.

Did the medical people explain what might be needed if your son requires rabies shots?

But the good thing is, if in the event the shots need to be administered, it's over a month's period of time, with one initially in the buttocks, the remaining I believe in the arms.

Unlike mine, all 21 in my stomach...many years ago, but never forgotten.

I hope everything goes well for you and your son.
