My experience was similar, with two exceptions. By age 8 my doctor would have me bend over the table for shots, and that continued through hisgh school. Also, most of my shots were in private after age 10, the exception being a poison ivy shot received along with 2 other guys at summer camp. I would have been mortified to have my mom there for any shots as a teen, so I really sympathize.

When did you grow up? 70s/80s for me.

when i was young as a kid here i used to get real sick at times and had to stay home from school here and my mom was asurgical nurse and worked at the hospital and dr's office here for many yrs here and she always took care of me when i was sick and gave me shots and did rectal temps in my bottom when she gave me a Shot of Pennicillion in my bottom with out telling me about here she always asked me if she could just take my rectal temp in my bottom here and the neck thing she askes if she can give me some medicine that would make me feel better heer and the next thing i remember is getting the shot in my bottom here and she always wore a surgical mask and rubber gloves when she gave it to me and had my Aunt who was also a Surgical Nurse hold me down while she gave irt in my bottom for my own good here but i was woundering if their are any nice female nurses that still give old fashion Pennicillion shots to patients in their bottoms here if so i might like to try one here see if i can handle one if so please email me i live in massachusetts here ty kevin
