 I got an injection in my upper buttock (right cheek) from a nurse in an ER, and it hurt like hell! Felt like someone stuck a soft ball under my skin. But it helped get rid of the infection I had. Before the shot I requested a rectal temperature taking. Denied, so I was a bit miffed getting the shot in my butt.

Another time while face down on an exam table, underpants lowered, getting my temperature taken, I also got two shots, one in each cheek. I asked for the butt temperature, as I prefer them, and believe them the most accurate, but I was not expecting the two shots, which luckily, were not really that painful.
