Subject: Sun Deck with half shade

Hello , I recently purchased lot 84 in section 17 and have put the poles in for the sun deck / shade / lookout deck . I had use of equipment at the moment and went ahead and put poles in not knowing I needed to contact the construction board . I have electric permit from Lisa Krobot , and that will be the only structure built on the lot . Do I need to submit a drawing to the construction board for approval . The structure will be 12'x24' . Thanks John

>Once again, there is no architectural control in Downeys. Build what you want. The county may tag you but they do not take anyone to court, etc. They don't have the $$$$ - Everyone knows this - thats why you can do anything you want......

>>I have had my attorney review the Deed Restrictions and what the Texas Supreme Court has stated to other subdivisions.
The intent of the deed restrictions in Downeys stipulates single family residences. The tX supreme court has ruled that travel trailers are not residences...

Homeowners better unite down here and get these POOR people out of here that cannot afford to build a house or we will all go down in flames......... I want my property values to increase not decrease...... I will post my attorneys name shortly and lets get together and force the Board to enforce the deed restrictions or SUE them for lack of fiduciary responsibility........
