EDSA

The EDSA narrative is a story where the lies propagated as truth, where an Aquino who actually did nothing was proclaimed as heroine, is a story where the truth is finally revealed for the eyes of the yellows to realize.

If they still don't get it, the joke goes around that there were 1800 people in EDSA commemoration party, of which, 1500 were from the police ranks.

There are two obvious explanation for this sickening PR fail. One is that the people have fully been awakened from the panloloko ng iisang grupo who fully benefitted from EDSA revolution. (If there be a need for a reminder, that Feb 25 gathering, paved the return of the Lopez to power, and the likes of Monsods and Davids.)

The second one is that the people have gone sick and tired of their false narrative, that they no longer care about that event in the past which does not really affect them in real terms.

Indeed, if the ordinary pinoys would ponder beyond the narrative of restoration of our democratic freedom, what really have EDSA brought them, isn't just those horrendous traffic?

A sickening situation that affects Metro Manila, but not the rest of the country. That is EDSA that no body wants to be assotiated with. The story is very similar to that of the story of the truth and lie with a different twist.

Here ' the story.

"According to a 19th century legend, the Truth and the Lie meet one day. The Lie says to the Truth: "It's a marvellous day today"! The Truth looks up to the skies and sighs, for the day was really beautiful. They spend a lot of time together, ultimately arriving beside a well. The Lie tells the Truth: "The water is very nice, let's take a bath together!" The Truth, once again suspicious, tests the water and discovers that it indeed is very nice. They undress and start bathing. Suddenly, the Lie comes out of the water, puts on the clothes of the Truth and runs away. The furious Truth comes out of the well and runs everywhere to find the Lie and to get her clothes back. The World, seeing the Truth naked, turns its gaze away, with contempt and rage.
The poor Truth returns to the well and disappears forever, hiding therein, its shame. Since then, the Lie travels around the world, dressed as the Truth, satisfying the needs of society, because, the World, in any case, harbours no wish at all to meet the naked Truth."

In EDSA the truth finally found the lie, and the people finally buried the lie to eternal repose.

In my opinion Edsa is not a lie but a true people’s uprising cultivated over the years by painstaking effort of the left but the initiative was grabbed in the tail end by the other faction of the same elite that the uprising sought to overthrow from power.

May finesse ang faction na yon in terms of propaganda. Kaya himbing ang tulog ng masa sa mahabang panahon.

Yong victorious na faction ng elite in the last election walang finesse. Blatantly honest na sila na naman ngayon sa power. And take it or leave it. Hehe
