Ring all the bells in the world, I believe, the Balangiga Bells will produce the most melodious sound,
For a hundred years ,a captive, a booty , a loot, a trophy,-- Robbed objects, the bells ‘misjudged as an accomplice’, now the Freedom topic so profound.
If, without the bells, there would never be a sound that would lead to the killing of the American soldiers' scores of men,
Thus, the foreigners' anger's vent on the objects treasured by the Filipino people; The bells that made the aliens' indignation displaced,
Will the bells stay in the foreign soil forever?
The bells of freedom ‘created’ the Waray Filipino heroes. -
Some, well-known, some unsung.
The bells that unified the Filipinos,
and the bells which created sound or notes without lyrics.
Like the drum of Napoleon's drummer, which (the ‘drum’) just knew how to sound ‘forward’ and not retreat,
That the drum kept on playing until Napoleon's victory in the war was achieved which led to Napoleon Bonaparte’s enemy's defeat.
May G-d bless the lives of men and women who understand the meaning of freedom,
Understanding clearly the very words of the British Lord Coke: "He who comes to the court must come with clean hands."
Freedom fought at the expense of blood,
Freedom sought, which one wants to beget.
Freedom understood clearly in the language and hearts of men and women,
Freedom not simply uttered by words. but deep within-felt.

Poem for the Grade VI School Teacher whom I met last week (Note: Base this time on the date Oct. 26, 2014. Thanks.) in Eastern Samar. She’s the granddaughter of Pedro Abayan.

Note: That cute, semi chubby ‘(Samar)itan’ lady whom I met is from Giporlos, Eastern Samar (adjacent town of Balangiga) , and she teaches at Giporlos public elementary school. Thanks.
