The Baby

The Supreme Court voted to oust Sereno
Majority ruled, Sereno was brought to Ground Zero.

A slight difference, 8 -6 in favor of the ousting
The die was cast. The decision made. It was the Supreme Court’s final ruling.

The Filipinos must move on, accept Sereno’s fate.
The question is ‘Who will be the next Chief Justice?’ May we love him/her, not hate.

Digong will make his choice and will appoint the next chief.
May he/she be G-d-fearing, able to distinguish right from wrong, not yielding to the temptation of graft and corruption, like receiving favors or ‘gift(s).’

May the next Chief Justice be a real Filipino, and his/her life beyond reproach,
One who thinks like King Solomon, able to decide who’s the real owner of the baby (That’s when two mothers claimed as the rightful owner of the baby. ..that Solomon’s sword had to cut the baby into two...One mother said “Yes, Divide the baby.’..the other woman said: “No. Don’t cut the baby into two. Give it to the woman who first claimed it.”
She (the one who didn’t want to cut the baby into two) did not want to let the baby die. On this, Solomon knew, she (the one who did not want the baby die) was the right mother so the king (Solomon) gave the baby to her (right mother).
