Audra was the only contestant in the top five who hails from a state which has not had a Miss Teen-USA winner. And now--they still don't. Try again in 2012. Also it should have said Katie not Kate...as in Katie Cooper (Miss ND Teen-USA 2006),

>Miss Texas Teen-USA, Danielle Doty, 18, of Harlingen,
>Texas, who becomes the second Texas contestant to win

>First runner-up. Miss North Dakota Teen-USA, Audra
>Mari, 17, of Fargo (who, in my opinion looks a bit
>like pop singer Katy Perry). Audra was the only
>contestant in the top five which has not had a Miss
>Teen-USA winner before. She becomes the highest ranked
>North Dakota entrant in the Miss Teen-USA pageant. The
>next highest ever ranked entrant from the state Kate
>Cooper of Westhope, North Dakota in 2006 who was

>Second runner-up, Miss California Teen-USA, Alexis
>Swanstrom, 18, of San Diego, who could have made
>history had she won by having both Miss Teen-USA and
>Miss USA winners from the same state in the same year.
>Last month in Las Vegas, then-Miss California-USA
>2011, Alyssa Campanella (a New Jersey native) was

>making it a double national pageant win in 2011 for

>Third runner-up, Miss Kansas Teen-USA, Taylor Clark,
>17, of Topeka
>
>Fourth runner-up, Miss Missouri Teen-USA, Sydnee
>Stottlemyre, 17, of Wildwood

>Former Miss Teen-USA 2005, Alexandra "Allie" Leigh
>LaForce (whose mother, Lesa Rummell LaForce, was Miss
>Ohio-USA 1977) and Las Vegas radio announcer Chester
>(Chet) Buchanan did a good job as co-hosts.

>Surely there are dozens of cities throughout the USA
>that would love to host the Miss Teen-USA pageant and
