I was lucky to watch all the webcast (well, all that we could see, given they brought it back after AL-AZ had competed in SS).

I really wish I could see it again because I wasn't taking many notes and I'd like to go through it more slowly.

Confirmed as the runaway winner for me was Texas. I don't think there's anyone who can touch her.

Also in my top five are:
*Indiana (iffy on the gown but face of the pageant & one of the strongest in SS)
*Maryland (not so sure on the gown & don't think it made her stand out or give her the best opportunity to strut but she was solid in all areas)
*New Hampshire (gown of the night for me - princess gown w a modern twist)
*Georgia (not as much a personal favourite as a girl who really shined when it counts)
*Pennsylvania (again wasn't a fan of the gown but solid in all areas).

I would be altogether unsuprised if one (or two) of KY, KS or VA also make the top five, with my money on Kansas.

My darkhorses were Idaho and District of Columbia. Both have been completely under the radar but I thought dominated tonight - especially Idaho in a tough group. DC is super smart, should do really well in interview too.

Other favourites were Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Louisiana (who held her own again KS & KY - tough ask), Maine, New York, North Dakota (better posture needed in gown?), Wisconsin & West Virginia. I'm not a fan of Tennessee (does that surprise you Hooked?) but I think she'll make it too.

I really need to have a look at the pics before I firm up a top fifteen though and they're not out yet - may not be out till the morning (your time)... boo!

Other positives... no stupid rhymes! That was almost the highlight of the night! Kamie did a wonderful job as host... I find it ironic she's the titleholder I think could be the most successful in the entertainment biz, yet she's heading straight to college to fulfil her dream of being a dermatologist. More power to her - she's truly my favourite Teen USA in a long, long time. Loved that there was no unnecessary timewasting, it all happened pretty smoothly without huge delays.

I just wish we'd been able to see the intros! For those that weren't around there a HUGE outcry when they pulled the feed and while I'm befuddled that MUO were advertising prelims being webcast then had the temerity to say "This was just a test, we're not webcasting tonight" I'm really glad they had the good sense to put it back on! There were over a thousand people watching! If they're going to pull the pageant out of the US they should at least give fans an opportunity to watch ALL the girls, not just the lucky 15 who make the cut tomorrow.
