My 89yrs old Uncle lives with me and after having periods of getting light headed the Dr. told him he shouldn't drive any more. He made me renew his registration on the car he now doesn't drive. Its hard to hang up his keys but he decided that I should drive him and use his car. He does especially love to drive in one of my old cars and makes a fuss if he has to ride in my Yukon. I know it has cut off his independence but I really think he is a little scared of causing an accident. He's had 4 and its funny never had his insurance raised but they repair his car. (thankfully no one was injured). While it may be inconvenient, it sure is a whole lot easier to drive him where he wants to go then sitting back and worrying. The weird thing is DMV approved his license. Go figure!!!!
