"NewB"......Is that like NewBee?, which I'm not! Wrong, been collecting cars since before you were born, ( . )

"Owns several of them".....four (4) to be exact, jealous? And I'm good frinds with your acquaintance in Wis. P.B. "gator71" you don't want him to get involved and show what a liar and dreamer you are, do you? And I'm not going to repeat what he said about you, ...( . )!

"same as a '72".....why wouldn't it be? You've got 1972 429 P.I. heads on it, god only knows what else. If you spec it out like a 1972 429 P.I. motor, it still won't give you the same performance ,..because it's 700 lbs. heavier, ..get it? Besides, Ford never published the "specs" on the 1972 P.I. 429 motor, HP, Torque, RPMs etc were all N/A. Got a 1972 Ford P.I. Brochure? I do!

"Dodges and whatever running 13's"....who the hell (but you) is talking about Dodges here? Are you dillusional?

"well say the '71 429 P.I. has 370 HP at the flywheel".....the 1971 Ford 429 P.I. motor was rated by FORD @ 370 HP, and everyone knows what ALL of the auto mfrs did with HP ratings back then and know why they did it (except you!). In reality this motor has been dyno'd at well over 400 HP, with the 429 SCJ being dyno'd at upwards of 500 HP, even though it was rated by FORD @375 HP, only 5 HP more than the 429 CJ???? Do you also believe that a 1970 Mustang Boss 302 only produced 290 HP as reported by FoMoCo? Do you still believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny , too? And, again , the '71 car is 700 lbs. lighter than the '78 car.....get it, .....yet?

"lose 130 HP to the flyweel,..'71 429 P.I." ......why is the '71 429 P.I. motor losing 35% of it's power and your 300 HP behemoth is only losing 12% according to your earlier post of still getting "250 HP to the rear wheelsfrom a 300 HP at the flywheel motor"??
FACT: The average power loss betwwen the flyweel and the rear wheels is approximately 20%, your 300 HP is now 240 HP, AND THAT'S if it had 300 hp to start with, which it doesn't (more dreams!), more like 250 HP, maybe that's where the 202 HP comes in, huh?? The '71 P.I cars are actually closer to 425 HP in reality, due to Ford's under-rating them, so they would then have about 340 HP at the rear wheels. So what your saying and what my friend in Wis. is NOT saying, is that your car, having 140 less HP than a '71 P.I. car, AND weighing 700 lbs more, would be about EQUAL in PERFORMANCE! How do you figure that? Oh, I know, you must be dreaming,....again!

"100 HP only amounts to 1/2 second difference"......wrong, again, (.), like car for like car will result in 1.5 to 2 second difference. With 20% more weight added onto the 100 HP power difficiency, they'd be timing you with a calender!

"...both rear tires breaking lose..."......now, tell us all about your "STOCK", 3.00:1, rear gears. They won't do that! My '72 P.I. car which has 100 HP more than your '78 sled, has 3.25:1 Traction-Lock, stock, from the factory, on both the "maroney" window sticker and the build sheet, and it won't do that! And, again, it weighs 700 lbs less than your 460 sled! What do you really have in it? A set of 3.91:1, or 4.10:1 Detroit Lockers? Stop DREAMIN, now!

"...no restrictions..." You think that really makes that big of s difference? I have had ALL of the exhaust systems of all my cars replaced, using Dyna Flow, very efficient mufflers, NO CATS, or any other emmissions devices because these cars don't have to go through emmissions testing anymore, and/or are exempt in most states where cars are tested! So what do you have to say to that, "Mr. 11 years in the Hobby, I know everything, My car is the fastest AND BEST P.I. car that Ford ever made, even though they don't know it, and I'll do anything humanly possible to make it that way?"

All of this series of posts have shown is that you are an (.) and that it is YOU who is giving the rarest of FORDS (which YOUR'S isn't) a bad name with everyone reading these posts. Please go back to whatever rock that you climbed out from under there in Canada, and please do SELL your car to SOMEONE; someone who will restore it for what it was and will show it for that, as well, and not some super-stock, pro-stock, top-fuel eliminator drag racer that you want to ruin it as! The end.
